News ankle!?
I just got back from the doctor. I had to go see a specialist because my right foot is swollen. It’s been swelling for the last month or so. He examined my walk, my stance, my stability and if the weight was evenly distributed on my feet.
He asked me who told me to go see him. I told him my doc, like the prescription said. He told me “he didn’t examine you pretty hard now did he?” After everything cleared, he touched and applied pressure on my ankle. He told me, “see that? That’s a sign of bad circulation, not a muscular or bone problem.”
So I went to see him for nothing. And because he’s a specialist, I had to pay. Now I have to go back to my doctor and ask to have tests done to see where and what causes the bad circulation.
If anyone has any natural suggestions that I could use or do in the mean time, I’d appreciate it.
Now on to other news.
I spent the better part of Wednesday morning on the phone. I had to make an appointment with a specialist for my wrists. So from eight to eleven I was on the phone. Most of the time on hold. I called every hospital in my area that I could find in the phone book.
The first call I made, she had room only in April. The other calls were the same or further, August. When I got another hospital with a date in April, I took it. But I kept going in the hopes of finding something better. I really didn’t want to go back to work suffering from carpal syndrome.
The last hospital, she told me, after a fifteen minute wait, that she had to transfer me because I didn’t have a file at that hospital. Then she just asked, why was I calling. When I told her she told me to call this doctor who works for the hospital but just opened his own office.
I did. I’m seeing him next Wednesday. I was so happy. I can’t believe the other hospitals didn’t have room before April. Even the two private practice I called, they didn’t have any room before July.
I’ll give you an update on Wednesday after my visit.
